Part Five: How To Get New Customers – Affiliates
Part 5 of my series of how to “Get new customers”. Quick recap on the previous 4 which were: getting introductions not referrals, doing some networking, asking for testimonials and excelling at customer service.
Part 5 is AFFILIATES, basically you create partnerships with companies involved in your industry but not competitors. Let me give you an example, if you are an estate agent then partner up with painters, interior decorators, movers etc and if you bring them business they pay you a commission and vice versa, if they bring you clients who want to sell their properties you give them a commission if you make the sale.
Affiliates are people that assist you to get new business and for this you pay them a slice of your fee or a commission and with these affiliates you will get maximum exposure by spreading your business. Think about it – it’s better to get percentage of something than zero percentage of nothing!
